Pocket Music terms of use
These terms are between you and flamedots, an independent studio run by one person (formerly PixelAI Lab), and cover your use of Pocket Music ("the app"). By installing or using the app you accept them. If you do not, please uninstall it.
The app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own use, under these terms and the rules of the store you got it from. The app, its design, code, sounds and text belong to flamedots or its licensors, apart from the open-source parts listed in the app's licences page, which are under their own licences.
What you make is yours
Loops, grooves, patterns, recordings, notes and anything else you make with the app belong to you. They are stored on your device and we claim no rights in them. You can use what you make, including commercially. The sounds built into the app may be used inside what you make; you may not extract them and sell or share them as a sound library.
Free version and ads
The app is free to download. The free version shows ads, as described in the privacy policy, and some features are reserved for Pocket Music Pro.
The free version and what Pro adds may change between versions, and the limits of the free version can also change without an update, through settings the app fetches when it starts. What you bought stays yours: a change never takes away Pro from someone who paid for it.
Pocket Music Pro
- Pocket Music Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It removes the ads and unlocks the Pro features for as long as the app is offered.
- It is sold and charged by Google Play or the Apple App Store, at the price the store shows you, under the store's terms. Refunds are handled by the store under its refund policy; we cannot issue them ourselves.
- Use "Restore purchases" to get Pro back on a new phone with the same store account.
- Where offered, watching a rewarded ad gives Pro for a limited time shown in the app. When the time runs out, the app returns to the free version.
Fair use
Do not copy, modify, resell or redistribute the app, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, get around its purchases or ads, or use it to break the law or anyone's rights.
No warranty
We build the app with care and keep it working, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will always be available, free of bugs, or suited to a particular purpose, and we may change or stop offering features. A tuner, metronome or chord tool is an aid to your ear, not a replacement for it.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, flamedots is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you made with the app; keep copies of what matters to you. Our total liability for anything to do with the app is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Apple
If you got the app from the App Store, these terms are between you and flamedots, not Apple, and Apple's standard licensed application end user licence agreement also applies. Apple has no duty to support or maintain the app, and is not responsible for claims about it.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the new version is published here with a new date, and using the app after that means you accept it. You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. If you break these terms, your licence to use the app ends.
