flamedots.com privacy policy
This page covers the website flamedots.com, run by flamedots, an independent studio run by one person. Each of our apps has its own policy, listed on the legal page.
Visits (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you allow analytics cookies.
- If you allow them, Google Analytics sets cookies and records the pages you view, how you reached the site, a tap on an email link, and your device, browser, language and approximate location (from your IP address).
- If you decline, or have not chosen yet, no analytics cookie is set. Google receives a cookieless signal for each page view, which it uses only in aggregate.
- Advertising storage and ad personalisation are always off. We do not run ads on the site and do not track you across other sites.
Change your choice at any time with "Cookies" at the foot of any page. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage. Google describes how it handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy.
If you write to hello@flamedots.com, we keep your message and address to reply, and for as long as the conversation is useful. Our mail is hosted by Hostinger. We never add you to a mailing list without asking.
Server logs
The site is hosted on Heroku, which records requests (IP address, time, page, browser) in short-lived logs to run and protect the service. We do not use them to identify visitors.
Fonts and other requests
Fonts, images and scripts are served from flamedots.com itself, except Google Analytics as described above.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to hello@flamedots.com. Analytics data cannot be linked to you by us; declining cookies stops it from being collected.
Changes
When this changes, the new version is published here with a new date above.
